ABOUT
Welcome to Fascinating Education. I am Dr. Sheldon Margulies, M.D., J.D., a retired neurologist who has spent much of my professional career teaching and thinking about how people learn. My goal is simple: to help improve students’ science and math skills by making difficult subjects easier to understand, more practical, and less intimidating.
My teaching methodology was developed through years of experience as a neurologist and educator at the University of Alabama and University of Maryland Medical Schools, where I taught more than 2,500 medical students and residents. Teaching at this level gave me the opportunity to see how students learn complex subjects and where they often struggle. It also helped me recognize the importance of explaining ideas clearly instead of relying only on textbooks, memorization, or complicated terminology.
At Fascinating Education, I use narrated images to explain concepts visually. There is no dependence on a traditional textbook-based approach. Even mathematical formulas are presented visually with graphs so students can see how the information works rather than simply memorize it.
Science should make sense. Students should be able to connect what they learn in class with situations they may encounter in everyday life. That belief is at the heart of the Fascinating Education approach. The courses cover subjects including biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology, mathematics, and medicine, with lessons designed to build understanding step by step.
My background in neurology also influences the way I teach. As a neurologist, I have seen how the brain learns and how anxiety can interfere with learning. I came to recognize that many students are not simply afraid of science. They may also feel anxious about the mathematics they believe they need to understand science. To address this problem, I have developed free math curricula designed specifically for science and tailored to different age groups.

I encourage you to browse the grammar school, middle school, and high school science and math curricula. The high school curricula include anatomy and physiology and the logic of medicine.
